In this first episode, we introduce a construction method newly developed by PDC. It enabled us to create the very first one-off sailing yacht without a mold. This not only reduces lead time but also generates far less waste. For this more sustainable construction method, we used a relatively new product: the 3D Core KitTM.

For the Eagle 46, a minimal wooden mold is used to bond the thermoformed foam Core KitTM in place. The foam Core KitTM then forms the basis for laminating the inner and outer skins. Watch the first episode to find out more.
