Composite superstructures
From a superstructure for an aluminium vessel to a complete superyacht superstructure, we develop and manufacture solutions tailored to your project and the vessel’s requirements.
From the initial design onwards, we work closely with you on the construction, materials and manufacturing process. Carbon fibre or another composite solution? Together, we find the right balance between weight, strength, appearance and manufacturability, while taking applicable regulations and classification society requirements into account.
Custom components
We manufacture hatches, swim ladders, helm stations, sun-awnings, flagpoles and dashboards for super-yachts, among other components. These are components where weight, structural performance and appearance all make a difference.
With our own mold-making techniques, CNC machining and 3D printing, we choose the right production method for each component. Engineering, mold making and production are all in-house. This keeps the process in our hands, allowing us to respond quickly and turn ideas efficiently into high-quality custom composite components.
Moulds and innovative production methods
Where possible, we avoid traditional moulds by using our own curved-panel method. Used worldwide, this approach can reduce production costs, material use and waste.
When a mould is required, we design and manufacture it to suit the specific design and application. Our projects include moulds for the world’s largest boom, the world’s first offshore gangway, wingsails and radar masts for frigates.
With engineering, CNC machining and 3D printing all in-house, we develop practical, efficient and high-quality solutions for both our own projects and external clients.
PD-Racers and small production runs
Every detail matters in our racing boats: construction, materials, weight, stiffness and sailing performance. Working within strict class rules, we collaborate with designers and clients to develop the ultimate racing boat. These collaborations include Juan K., renowned for his work on high-performance racing yachts and international competitive sailing.
We bring the same expertise and precision to small production runs. With engineering, carefully designed tooling and manufacturing all in-house, we ensure consistent quality and repeatability. PD-Racers has built 21 ocean rowing boats, 5 Olimpic dinghies, two Solos and a Contender. Every project teaches us something new, and we carry that knowledge into the next challenge.
