A new name, a renewed identity, and the same passion for composites.
What began with Paul Dijkstra’s dream of building boats has grown into a company with a team of 22 people, each bringing their own knowledge, skills and expertise. Today, we work together on a wide range of composite projects, from one-off yachts to complex custom components.
Paul’s passion for boatbuilding started at an early age. At just 16, he built a competitive sailing boat as part of his training. In 2006, he began working with composites, and on 13 March 2012, Paul and Marieke founded Paul Dijkstra Jachtbouw. Since then, the company has continued to grow, driven by craftsmanship, innovation and a determination to find solutions for challenging projects.
A name that reflects who we are today
As our company has evolved, so has the team behind it. We are no longer just Paul Dijkstra; we are a strong team of specialists working together to turn ideas into reality. Our new name, PD Composites, reflects that development and the ambitions we share for the future.
Alongside our new name, we are introducing a renewed visual identity and a completely redesigned website. These changes mark an important next step in our development and give us a platform that better reflects who we are and what we do.
The same people, the same drive
Although our name and appearance are changing, the foundations of our company remain the same. We continue to combine craftsmanship with technical knowledge, innovative production methods and a practical, hands-on approach. We enjoy working closely with our customers to develop the best possible solutions, especially when a project calls for something out of the ordinary.
From unique yachts and composite superstructures to custom components, moulds and innovative production techniques, we keep exploring new possibilities in composite manufacturing.
PD Composites is the next chapter in our story. With the same passion, a strong team and plenty of ambition, we look forward to building what comes next — together with our customers and partners.
Meet us at METSTRADE as PD Composites
Our new name will also be the name under which we present ourselves at METSTRADE 2026 in Amsterdam. From 17 to 19 November, we look forward to meeting customers, partners and industry professionals at stand 11.108.
