Paul Dijkstra Composites is last year began developing a new Olympia dinghy, designed by Juan K Jachtdesign. Last week marked a memorable moment in this project. We launched the first boat, which was able to compete in the Kleine Sneekweek.
About the project
In March 2022, O-jol sailors Onno Yntema and Sybrand Vochteloo approached us to build a new Olympia dinghy. A design was created together with Juan K. We have a set of moulds for this design. Once the moulds had been made, work could begin on the first O-jol. It is a prepreg boat cured in an autoclave. Find out more about the design and construction method: read here
PD Racers
Paul Dijkstra Composites focuses on one-off hulls and composite components. That is why we decided to introduce a new brand for racing sailboats. We chose PD Racers, a new brand for one-off or small-series racing sailboats for enthusiasts who want to get the very most out of their boat. So far, an O-jol and a Solo have been built under this brand.
